City
Government: The City is run by an elected Mayor and four members of
the Board of Aldermen, two from each side of Weston. Main
Street is the dividing line for the city wards. Ward I
on the east side of Main Street and Ward II on the west
side of Main Street. The Mayor and each board member are
elected to serve two-year terms.
Vision Statement: Working in partnership with the residents
of the greater Weston community, the City Staff, officials
and policy makers are committed to preserving the physical
beauty, historical heritage and environmental quality
of the City, while striving to manage growth and promote
development to ensure that it is a positive force on the
general welfare of the Weston community, through clear
plans, guidelines and regulations that achieve this goal.

Animal Tags: Currently, all dogs must be tagged within the City of Weston.
$5 for spayed/neutered and $10 for non-spayed, non-neutered dog. ( penalties for late purchases). Bring proof of rabies
vaccination. No license for cats at this time. City of Weston's
animal ordinance requires all dogs must be under the immediate control
of its owner. Copies of this ordinance are available at City Hall.
Missouri Motor Vehicle Registration and Driver's License Bureau: Located
at 500 Third Street, Platte City, MO. Their telephone number is 816-858-5711.
Voter Registration: You can change your voter registration or register
to vote at City Hall, Mid-Continent Library or at the Board of Elections
office in Platte City, Missouri.
Business Licenses: Required for ALL businesses. Renewal dates are January
1st of each year. Applications can be picked up at City Hall. Other than
home-based businesses, all other businesses in town are required to have
trash services.

Parks: Weston City Park has
playgrounds, gazebo, picnic tables, grills, tennis courts and basketball
court. Franklin Park and Bless Park are also located in Weston. The Weston
Bend State Park, located on the southern edge of Weston on Highway 45.

camping hookups and a scenic lookout point over the Missouri River. You

deposit for residents, $100 for businesses. |
Trash Pickup: Household pickups are once per week beginning at 7:00 a.m. All residents north of 45 Highway are picked up on Monday. Residents south of 45 Highway are picked up on Wednesday. Curbside trash must be bagged and contain household trash only. All other trash may be taken to the Bulky Item Dumpsters.

Recycling & Bulky Item Dumpsters:
ecycling drop off is located at the City Garage located at 725 Market Street (the corner of Blackhawk & Market Streets). Recycling items accepted in the co-mingled container are: Plastics #1 through #7, Aluminum, Tin Cans, Paper, and Chip-board (cereal boxes). Separate container for corrugated cardboard.
Abiti paper recycling containers for magazines and all types of paper are located at the Weston City Hall parking lot and the Post Office.
The Bulky Item Dumpster (old chairs, mattresses etc.) is available for residents and non-residents at the following charges: Residents- $18 for half-truck load and $25 for a full-truck load: Non-residents- $20 for half-truck load and $40 for full-truck load.
The Yard Waste Dumpster is free to residents of Weston. It is unavailable to non-residents. A key to access the yard waste dumpster can be rented at city hall (deposit of $12.50).
All dumpsters at this location are available on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evening from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m
