OCTOBER 6-7, 2012
24TH ANNUAL WESTON APPLEFEST CELEBRATION ON MAIN STREET
Saturday
10am - 6pm
Parade at 10am on Saturday
Buses will not run from 9:30-11 on Saturday during the parade. Come early, park and walk to the downtown parade.
Sunday
11am - 5pm
Celebrating 24 years, the Applefest celebration in historic downtown Weston is known throughout the Midwest as one of the best fall festivals in Missouri.
Visitors to Applefest are encouraged to come early on Saturday morning to enjoy Weston’s hometown parade along Main Street. The parade begins at 10:00 am on Saturday. There is ample parking within walking distance to downtown Weston.*
Step back in history and enjoy the time-honored techniques of a Missouri family demonstrating the “lost arts” of Candle and Soap Making, Wood Turning and Carving, Leather Tanning, and Basket Weaving. In addition to the variety of other arts and craft booths along the downtown Main Street, you’re also invited to browse the many unique Weston shops during your visit.
And, don’t miss the Garden Harvest Market vendors, with all your festival favorites to eat or to decorate your home for fall. Weston’s famous apple dumplings, apple pies, and cookies will also be available through our local churches. You can catch a quick and tasty bite at our Applefest Food Court or, you might choose to sit down, relax and enjoy the delicious cuisine at one of the several fine restaurants in Weston.
Fun children’s activities both days are planned in the park with pony rides, carnival style games, face painting and pumpkin painting.
Free parking is available on the western and northern sides of town. The Applefest event is only six blocks from most parking areas, so visitors can easily walk into town. Please be aware that Weston’s hilly terrain and narrow sidewalks can sometimes be challenging for the disabled to navigate. There is limited handicap accessible parking. Please allow additional time and patience if you are disabled or are accompanying someone who is.
For more information call (816-640-2909) or visit www.westonmo.com. Don't miss this fall harvest celebration in historic Weston, Missouri.
