Since 1992, Florilegium has been evolving from an antiques store specializing in textiles to a fiber studio inspired by antiques.  Our newest store, in Weston, Missouri, is a working studio where the inspirations, materials and techniques used and created are available to all.

Florilegium's owner, Gretchen Nutt, began knitting at age 4 and has picked up every other type of needle since then.
She uses an array of techniques to experiment with fibers and fabrics.

Some of her favorites are: Knitting, Kumihimo
Crochet, Beadwork, Freeform, Felting, Embroidery
Book Binding, Painting, Dyeing, Ribbonwork
Marbling, Freelace, Needlepoint, Collage
Silk Ribbon, Embroidery and every conceivable combination of these!

Florilegium is dedicated to the proposition that creativity is as essential to life as oxygen and water.  Gretchen believes that "creating"  for the sake of exploring ideas, trying out materials and following our imaginations is enough, and that what we learn from the process is even more valuable than the resulting objects.

Everyday life presents ample opportunities to creatively solve problems, but finding our own special materials and techniques to experiment with...(upon which to impose our own questions and solutions)...elevates this activity to a joy.  Our goal is to find and make as much joy as possible!

Lane Tree & Lily

Lane Tree & Lily is a beautiful mix of art, antiques and home embellishments. We feature original art, fused glass, leather products, gift cards, and hand-dyed goods from local and regional artists as well as one of a kind antique and vintage finds.

Leslie, the shop owner, is a creative soul, inspired by the everyday things in life and the whimsy of nature but, all with a big, bright, bold, colorful twist! She is dedicated to promoting local art and providing a space filled with unique gifts for the home.

Housed in a historic building in downtown Weston, Missouri which has housed a pharmacy, dental office, apartments, variety store, library, antiques and now our confectionery, old fashioned soda fountain, tearoom and variety store.

In our store we take pride in making our own breads and pastries, flavoring and presenting our foods with a special ingredient: love.

The authentic soda fountain on the main floor has been in operation almost constantly since the doors were first opened over one hundred years ago. We preserve the past, going out of our way to make a coca-cola, malts, and phosphates the way they were made on the opening day in 1893.

We bring our dedication to quality and service to our online customers as well, so if you can't make it here, you can still enjoy our fresh fudge, handmade candies, sugared nuts and gift items, just like you were with us.

Just upstairs, we are serving a healthier option for lunch that will satisfy both men and women. We serve all our sandwiches on our house-made bread. Grab anything from a light salad with a cup of soup made daily, our ever-changing seasonal Quiche or a Jalapeno Steak Sandwich. Our space is also available for weddings, bridal parties, holiday parties, office meetings, etc. Come on by and check us out! We've got something for everyone!

Please inquiry about availability for special events.

Visit McCormick on Main to find out more about our products. McCormick on Main is open seven days a week and cocktails are available for purchase daily.

Weston has long been the hometown of the Holladay Distillery, home of McCormick Distilling Company. In 1856, Ben Holladay and his brother, Major David Holladay, divined a great purpose for the limestone spring onsite: Bourbon, making the Holladay Distillery the oldest distillery west of the Mississippi operating at its original site. In 2016, the distillery commemorated 160 years of rich history by going back to its roots and once again bearing the proud name of Holladay Distillery, operated by McCormick Distilling Company. For the first time since 1985, the distillery is again distilling bourbon on site and opened its doors to the public for tours for the first time since 1995.

The reception has been so positive that it was a natural decision to extend the feel of Holladay into downtown Weston and to turn McCormick on Main, formerly known as the McCormick Country Store, into an additional place to gather. After undergoing a complete restoration, the store now features exposed brick walls, an authentic tin ceiling, and a beautiful bar crafted from reclaimed wood and barrel staves. There are additional seating areas and televisions, making this perfect spot to relax with a cocktail when visiting Weston.

As always, the store is also a place for customers to buy souvenirs and to sample and purchase products including our premium brands 360 Vodka, Broker’s Gin, Tequila Rose, Hussong’s Tequila, Triple Crown, KeKe, and Tarantula, as well as the McCormick family brands.

Spirits cannot be shipped but we are happy to ship any logo items in the store.

Cheryl Mitchell Founder of Miss Doyle's Soapery

is a maker, an herbalist, an aromatherapist, an author, an educator, a wife, a mother and lover of nature! I have been making natural products since 2004.

Miss Doyle's Story started with meeting my husband who gave me the opportunity to live for my dreams. We had many failed ventures on the way but today Miss Doyle's lives on as a 2 retail stores and an amazing online business. People ask me all the time who is Miss Doyle...she is not only my husbands Grandmother but also my daughter Miss Emma Doyle.

The original Miss Doyle is an amazing woman who has shown me what dedication, love and strength can do to a family and also for a woman. I hope I can teach my Dinky Doyle all those same traits in life that Mrs. Doyle Karkosky has taught me. Today we live in a small town in North West Missouri and live for every day. If I am not working in my shop, I am teaching classes at the local library or hanging outdoors with my husband Robert and kids.

Northland Artists' Gallery was founded by a Northland artist, Debbie Pfauth, who opened an art gallery in Smithville, Missouri. In 1999, it was reorganized as a cooperative gallery and moved to a location in downtown Parkville’s English Landing. It later moved to 110 Main Street in Parkville in March of 2005, where it remained until July 24, 2016. The gallery is now located at 519 Main Street in Weston, MO. From fabulous farmhouse finds such as chippy wood furniture, old wash tubs, galvanized cans and buckets, a collection of old cow figurines, wire baskets and more. Or how ‘bout some old barn wood creations or a custom-made Trolley light?
All mixed in with the elegance and beauty of the 19th century. Featuring such finds as old oil paintings with roses, leather books, gilded sconces, linens and textiles to Victorian clothing, lace parasols and old collection of children’s shoes and toys.

And we haven’t forgotten the jewelry. We have beautiful Artisan handcrafted jewelry, featuring one of a kind heirloom repurposed designs using antique buttons, brooches, rhinestones, old watch fobs and more. Unique designs found nowhere else. Also along with Victorian Art Nouveau reproduction jewelry.

A trip to the Weston Red Barn Farm is like visiting a turn of the century working farm.

In the spirit of preserving the American dream of farming, the Red Barn Farm offers visitors the opportunity to experience a real working farmstead. We feature traditional farm animals and crops. In addition to the working farm, we offer school tours, a country store featuring our fresh produce, facilities for weddings and bonfire/hayride events and a fall festival where families can come pick pumpkins and apples, take a hayride and enjoy the country.

The farm is open spring through fall, allowing visitors the chance to experience our farm through the changing seasons. In the spring and summer, our country store is a daily farmer's market, selling locally grown produce picked at its peak. In the fall, we celebrate the harvest being brought in and offer visitors the chance to have some old-fashioned farm fun. Hours vary according to the season so please check the calendar or call ahead before coming to visit.

Note regarding Admission Fee during School Tours: Monday through Friday before 2pm our staff is working with school tours. Admission to the barnyard during this period is obtained by paying the school tour fee and accompanying one of our tour groups or doing a self-guided tour. You can purchase admission to the barnyard at the information booth or in the country store. There is no admission fee after 2pm Monday through Friday, and from 9am to 5pm on Saturdays and Sundays during the farm season.
