Housed in a historic building in downtown Weston, Missouri which has housed a pharmacy, dental office, apartments, variety store, library, antiques and now our confectionery, old fashioned soda fountain, tearoom and variety store.

In our store we take pride in making our own breads and pastries, flavoring and presenting our foods with a special ingredient: love.

The authentic soda fountain on the main floor has been in operation almost constantly since the doors were first opened over one hundred years ago. We preserve the past, going out of our way to make a coca-cola, malts, and phosphates the way they were made on the opening day in 1893.

Reopened in December of 2005 by long-time friends and avid brewers, Michael Coakley and Corey Weinfurt, the Weston Brewing Company boasts a modern 24-barrel brewing system capable of producing 20,000 kegs of beer annually.

Their flagship beer, O’Malley’s Irish Cream Ale, carries on the tradition of brewing in historic Weston that began 164 years ago.

The Weston Brewing Company was first established in 1842 by German immigrant, John Georgian, and was one of the first lager beer breweries in the U.S.  Five arched, limestone cellars, dug to a depth of 55 feet below ground, were constructed to create the ideal conditions for Georgian’s lager beer which needed to be stored below 60 degrees for more than six weeks.  The brewery’s 20 employees produced 12,000 barrels of Pale Lager annually.

Upon Georgian’s death in 1857 the brewery continued in various states of ownership and production until 1901 when a new corporation was formed called the Royal Brewing Company of Kansas City.  A branch office was established at 1111-1114 Grand Avenue in Kansas City, Mo.  Promoted as the “oldest brewery west of the Hudson River”, the brewery was the largest manufacturing plant in Platte County, producing 20,000 barrels a year.  Popular brands included Royal Pilsner, advertised as "the beer that made Milwaukee jealous"; Rip Van Winkle, "the world’s richest bottle of beer"; and Vivatone, “a family beverage for all ailments”.

The brewery closed in 1919, when prohibition, otherwise known as "the great experiment," was signed into law.
